Profile of a Universal School Graduate
The Profile of a Universal School Graduate describes who we hope every student will be when they complete their time with us. It rests on four qualities: being God conscious, showing Prophetic character, being prepared for academic success as a lifelong learner, and practicing servant leadership. Together they express our mission and core values in terms students, families, and staff can recognize and work toward.
Who We Hope Our Graduates Become
Why it matters
A school’s mission can stay abstract unless it is turned into something concrete. The profile does that. It gives everyone at Universal School a shared picture of what success looks like, which includes character and faith as well as grades and test scores. It helps teachers and staff plan lessons, activities, and school culture with the same goals in mind. It helps students understand what they are growing toward. It also helps families see what we are working on together. For the board and other stakeholders, it is a clear, public statement of the outcomes the school is committed to.
What it means for each part of our community
Students: a picture of who you are becoming, and a reminder that the goal is growth in heart and character as well as knowledge.
Parents and families: a shared vision you can reinforce at home, and a way to talk with your child about faith, character, learning, and service.
Teachers and staff: a common reference point for instruction, classroom culture, and daily interactions with students.
Board and stakeholders: a clear statement of the school’s intended outcomes, which supports planning and accountability.
Visitors and prospective families: a quick way to understand what Universal School values and what we hope for every student.
