Financial Aid & Scholarships
You may find information regarding financial aid within the attached PDF document below. Please note that the Universal School’s financial aid comes from our Zakah fund. The amount of financial aid provided is limited and is based on first come first serve basis. To apply to financial aid, you must first apply to the Bison Fund and show proof of a denial letter. Students that are awarded Bison are not eligible for school financial aid.
BISON is an independent organization separate from Universal School. Universal School does NOT review or determine the status of the application. All information must be sent to BISON directly. If you have any questions or need further information, please contact the BISON Fund office at 716-854-0869 ext.1 or email Cindy McDonald at cmcdonald@bisonfund.org.

African-American Diversity Scholarship
The Universal School Full-Tuition Diversity Scholarship is designed to ensure that the student body reflects the racial, cultural, and economic diversity of the broader African and African American Muslim community. Priority is given to African and African American students who demonstrate financial need, meet income guidelines, and can benefit from the academic and spiritual environment at Universal School. Recipients are expected to meet academic and behavior expectations; the scholarship is renewable each year as long as the student remains in good academic and behavioral standing, so families do not need to re‑apply annually.
