Parent Participation Service Hours
The PTA was established in order to provide a connection between parents, teachers and the school’s administration as we all work toward one common goal: To continuously improve the quality of our children’s educational experience. Parent involvement is critical to the success of any school. The PTA gives parents the opportunity to see what goes into the working of the school, the challenge faced by it and how they can be overcome with the cooperation and participation of the parents. This is why the PTA is a great way to support your child’s school and involvement makes a difference.
All Universal School families are required to pay a $150 activity fee per family upon registering their child as of the 2012-2013 school year. If families are able to complete up to 20 service hours for the school by May 31, 2012, the $150 activity fee will be reimbursed at the end of June. Also, donation of $1000 or more during the academic year will qualify for reimbursement of the $150 at the end of June. This includes any donations given at any of our school events. If fewer hours are completed by May 31st, the activity fee reimbursement will be prorated accordingly.

OPTION ‘A’ for those who prefer to complete the 20 service hours and be reimbursed the $150 at the end of the academic year.
OPTION ‘B’ for those who will not be completing any service hours will not be reimbursed any amount.
